Today is Mama and Papa B's anniversary. They've been married...a long time. My dad jokes about them getting married on a holiday so he would be able to remember. I'm not sure if you can count Groundhog Day as an official holiday, but in the B Family, we do.
In honor of their anniversary, I'd like to share with you two songs that always make me think of my parents.
First up, Mama B. Mama B is a HUGE Elvis fan. In fact, when it comes to music, I can't really think of any other preferences that she has. Here's a true classic, and one of her favorites.
Papa B. What can I say? Papa B loves him some old school gospel, and anything 50s and 60s. But that's not where I'm going with the song that reminds me of Papa B. (Well, it actually is, kinda.)
When we were little, Papa B used to always sing this song when we were in the car. He would sing it at random, and even when the occasion was appropriate. It was so ridiculous to us, that my brother and I actually thought he had made it up. Until we realized he hadn't. (But it have him an ego boost when we told him we thought he had made it up)
Happy Anniversary to the greatest parents anyone could ask for!
