I've had this book downloaded on my phone since the Christmas holidays and just never got around to reading it. Since this challenge was accepted with the plan to read through the massive amount of books on my Kindle, I decided to knock this one out.
I've started judging these Christmas romance novels by what I refer to as the Hallmark test.
Hallmark movies, especially those set at Christmas, have a standard formula. They have left me with the expectations that all Christmas romances should be set up like this. I'm always pleasantly surprised when they are not, but also a little leery if they are not.
This book passes the Hallmark test with flying colors! In fact, I would actually like to see it as a Hallmark movie starring Lacy Chabert...or perhaps Candace Cameron Bure. I'm not sure who I would cast as the male lead yet, but I'm sure Hallmark could find a suitable male.
If you want a quick, sweet, easy to read book, then this one is for you.
